The Life Health Center of Delaware presents a special educational series: “Our History: Past, Present & Future; YOU CAN BE WHAT YOU BELIEVE.”

The Life Health Center of Delaware presents a unique educational series: “Our History: Past, Present & Future; YOU CAN BE WHAT SEE and BELIEVE.” 

As the final session of a four-part educational series, the Life Health Center in New Castle County, Delaware, will feature industry trailblazers in the field of Education Saturday, March 26, 2022. The session will run virtually and be available to students and families everywhere.  

Guest Panelists will include Harold “Butch” Ingram, Principal of Glasgow High School and dedicated civic leader serving as Board President for Delaware Futures and the Lighthouse Project. Butch is also an active member of the Union Lodge #@21 F&AM (PHA) and The Monday Club. In addition, he serves as the Co-host of The Congo Children’s Corner Television Broadcast (Comcast 191). He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Christiana Purnell is a 2nd-grade teacher in Harnett County; she is a graduate of Fayetteville State University. Christiana has been recognized as one of the school’s most notable graduates. She is best known for her innovative teaching methods using TikTok social media tools. 

Dr. Harold McCray is the Principal of Stanton Elementary School in Washington, D.C. With roots beginning as a graduate of Delaware State University, Dr. McCray has served on the nation’s stage in multiple capacities, including the Black Male Teacher Initiative, groundbreaking curriculum development, national speaker, and the Barak Obama School. Dr. Patrice Gilliam-Johnson serves as the dean of Graduate, Adult, and Continuing Studies at Delaware State University. Before assuming the position at DESU, Dr. Johnson served for two years as the Delaware Secretary of Labor through an appointment by Gov. Jack Markell. A 12-year tenure at Wilmington University preceded the appointment. Dr. Johnson held multiple ascending positions culminated by the regional chairperson of both the Organizational Dynamics Undergraduate Program and the school’s Psychology Program. Dr. Gilliam-Johnson serves as chairperson for the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League and president of the Gilliam Foundation. Sade’ Truiett will moderate the panel, a graduate of Delaware State University, Wilmington University, and a James H. Gilliam Fellow. Sade’ has a long extensive career in both Education and civic engagement. She is the founder of G.I.R.L. TALK (Gifted Intelligent Royal Leader) is a mentoring program for young girls. 

Each installment of the series has featured industry trailblazers of equal repute and inspiration for the youth of our community. Mark your calendar now to ensure you don’t miss this final session on the significance of the POWER of EDUCATION, Saturday, March 26, from 10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
